By Tuesday, 28th June 2022, 8:52 am Fifteen thrill-seekers have abseiled down the 418 foot Northampton Lift Tower in aid of local charity, The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation.By Carly Odell Monday, 27th June 2022, 10:12 am A huge turnout was seen as Northampton Pride 2022 took place in the town on Sunday (June 26).last year's celebrations.By Monday, 27th June 2022, 6:15 pm The Northampton Sausage and Cider Festival returned this weekend for the first time in two years.

The brave participants took on the colossal challenge on Saturday, June 25 and raised more than £7,000 for the McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, which was launched during the coronavirus pandemic to help support those most vulnerable in the local community.Charity founder, Teresa McCarthy-Dixon, said: “Sadly, due to strong winds, they had to abseil on the inside of the Northampton lift tower, which - though more challenging - they completed with great courage.from the town and further afield enjoyed the colourful, joyous festivities after the event returned in person for the first time since the pandemic hit.“This fundraiser will be an amazing contribution to the charity, and will help us support those who are most vulnerable in our community, through our foodbank and many other services we provide.Those in attendance included the emergency services, Stagecoach, Q Space and the University of Northampton.“Thank you to our brilliant abseiling team for such a great effort today.Northampton Pride 2022 Lots of colour and plenty of smiles at pride festival in Northampton on Sunday, June 26.” Find out more about the McCarthy-Dixon Foundation by visiting.Here are 26 pictures from the Northampton Sausage and Cider Festival: 1.
