Several years ago, I was coming home from a game in Croke Park and the Sunday night culture show on Newstalk had a panel of professors of Irish literature from Harvard, Oxford and possibly Trinity College, discussing the great Irish literary phenomena. WB Yeats, Seamus Heaney and all the greats got a run out.
