UPDATE: Relieved police have now located the mother of a baby girl less than 24 hours old, abandoned across the road from a hospital in WA.

the mother had been located safe and well after the newborn was abandoned near Geraldton health campus in Gerladton, a coastal city in the Mid West region on WA.

Her baby girl was found across the road from the hospital at 7am this morning — in front of the nurses’ quarters. No note was found with the infant, who is believed to be less than 24 hours old. She was reportedly found after neighbours heard the infant crying and called police.that the newborn was found wrapped in a blanket.
