The story the Australian Federal Police didn’t want you to read.

Police searched the ABC’s headquarters yesterday using a warrant that named two reporters and the news director Gaven Morris. It came just a day after authorities searched the home ofThe move has been condemned by media organisations in Australia and around the world, with the BBC saying it was “deeply troubling” for the ABC to be searched.

The ABC report said the documents suggested “a growing unease at the highest level of Defence about the culture of Australia’s special forces”. Other documents talk about divisions between two elite units, the SAS based in Perth and the 2 Commando Regiment based in Sydney.A sniper team from the 2nd Commando Regiment keeps watch for targets high above a village in the Mirabad Valley, Afghanistan.ABC managing director David Anderson has said the raid was “highly unusual” and that it raised concerns over freedom of the press and proper public scrutiny of national security and defence matters.

These police raids are similar to those carried out by the police forces of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin & Franco in the mid-20th Century with varying degrees of terror. If the Govt accepts this style of enforcement, Australia becomes a Police State with our freedom & Privacy gone.

The AFP doesn't care about you reading the story. What it cares about is public servants criminally leaking classified information to journalists.

AFP doing their job. ABC full of self righteous floggs.

Couple of questions spring to mind (1) is it implied that “press” never bechallenged? (2) is it implied that “press” are professional and accurate? (3) does freedom of speech not extend to say IzzyFolau ?

Tell me if I hacked ABC server and stole all the stories you are working on. Then released them on, say my blog site etc would this be freedom of press. Would my hack be illegal and would ABC report to police

I don't think this has anything to do with AFP not wanting story shown. It's about obtaining and using secret information illegally.

Does the crimes act say revealing a crime, is a crime ? this is bullshit through and through and just shows that not only our government but federal police are corrupt and conducting illegal activities.
