Police and SES crews are scouring bushland in Brisbane's south-east for drugs and money suspected to have been stashed by a"highly sophisticated" drug trafficking syndicate.Senior Sergeant Mooney says they seized a large amount of cash and a variety of drugsDetectives used cameras hidden in trees to film members of the network burying drugs on two properties at Sheldon and Ransome as part of an 18-month investigation.
Four men and a woman have been charged with drug trafficking after officers executed search warrants at their homes on Wednesday.Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Mooney said large quantities of cocaine, methylamphetamine, heroin and cannabis were uncovered during the arrests.Senior Sergeant Mooney said police hoped to unearth more of the syndicate's drug stash during bushland patrols.
