A newborn baby girl has been abandoned near a hospital in Geraldton, about 400 kilometres north of Perth in WA's Midwest, police say.
The baby, who was found about 7:00am near the Geraldton Health Campus, was taken inside the hospital for assessment and appears to be in good health. "Concerns are held for the mother of the child as she may require medical attention and police are asking her to contact them," police said in a statement.No further information was immediately available
