People are also reading… The Wiregrass Blues Society is a 501©3 non-profit organization established in 2013, dedicated to recognizing the Blues music, culture, and history that comes from the Wiregrass region through events that include the annual Wiregrass Blues Festival and multiple Blues in Schools programs in area schools throughout the year.
“The Blues Fest was started as a means to honor music legends who came from this area,” Anthony said, inviting the soldiers to visit the Music Mural on Foster Street in Dothan to view a few of the music greats with Wiregrass roots.
