Suitable candidates may choose from a wide variety of innovative, interinstitutional projects proposed by Project Leaders of the Alliance . Alternatively, applicants are also welcome to define their own research project with at least two PIs at different partner institutions.
The priority area for Alliance support is basic and translational research in the areas of cancer research, cardiovascular research, neuropsychiatric diseases, genomics, synthetic immunology, molecular engineering, medical technologies, and novel applications of AI approaches in health and life science research. Candidates must hold a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree at project start.Accepted fellows will be provided a 2-year contract at an Alliance partner institution with earliest start date in August/September 2024. Clinician scientists will receive 12 months of funding from the Alliance for the research project over a period of 24 months during the"Facharztausbildung"/specialist medical trainin
