states Sony has cut its shipment forecast in half - down to 1m units instead of 2m - after lacklustre early interest. The company reportedly now expects to shift just 1.5m headsets total before March 2024.
PSVR2 will arrive on 22nd February with 37 games, though the vast majority are not new experiences. The headset's price has also raised some eyebrows, with its cost totalling over £1000 when combined with the regular PS5 - and that's without a game to play on it., most will be familiar to existing VR fans. The list includes adorable mouse adventure Moss and its sequel, the brilliant puzzle classic Tetris Effect Connected, and a VR-enabled version of Gran Turismo 7..
Separately, you can pay £40, $50 or €50 extra for the PSVR2's controller charging dock, which allows you to charge your controllers without connecting them to your PS5.Create your ReedPop ID & unlock community features and much, much more!

Nobody cares about PSVR2 launch titles. No pc compatibility to play Alyx, the only vr game everybody really want to play. High price tag. Very hard sell
If it were to cost 399$ it would’ve sold as well as the oculus quest 2
Inflation lol
Try halving the price instead.
They may have sold more if it was back compatible, but Sony are too greedy to something nice like that.
It is quite expensive including the PS5 console. We’ll need to wait for Christmas sales for best deals.
Its pricey as heck is probably what put a lot of people off , was going to save up for it but soon as I saw price i thought nope, not at the price playstation are asking for
It's overpriced and VR is still a very niche market.
It's not surprising, really. Most people can't afford to fork out £550 right now. We are being squeezed as hell as it is.
Why would I pre order something that I have to try first? Do these guys think everyone is stupid to spend all that money on just a spec release? Promote it! That's how I bought the first PS VR.
Sony pulling the same stunt they did with the Playstation 3, who remembered 'get a second job' if u want to own one. Ps VR 2 should be at least $400.
What do you expect for an accessory more expensive than the console itself?
I'd love to buy it, but when it cost the same as a console and in the current climate I just cannot justify it
Price is probably a big factor, not surprising really.
I think with being only on pre order from playstation direct and the price is the problems.
They should just unlock PSVR2 for PC since PC has a bigger VR community than PS5. I bet it would sell more. Right Sony?
Am not really surprised VR is not for everyone is just a gimmick for many and plus the price alone is just not worth it.
xteteczx por que será?
This Takashi guy is a lier. If it’s not Jason Schreier reporting it, I don’t trust it
Big costs + no retro compatibility = shitty value
If they made it pc compatible and there would have been more sales.
Already pre ordered. I hate poor people. They are ruining the fun for everyone else. Stop being poor!!
No Astro bot on release was a huge turn off for me. Also, that price is crazy ngl
If they'd found a way to get back compat working it'd have been a day one for me.
There is no killer app, even with half life alyx VR couldn’t fly off into mainstream… and that game was heralded as the second coming of JC
If they didn't exclusively sell it via their own shop, then I'd have one.. but hey.. can keep it till then!
The fact that you can only order it directly through PlayStation is probably one of the reasons...
If they announce Half Life Alyx this forecast completely changes.
It cost more than the PS5 itself!!
I mean it’s more money than the PS5 ffs. I have no interest in it at that price.
The tech looks wonderful, but the huge cost, economic realities, poor marketing, lack of any kind of killer app and the niche appeal of VR mean that this is wholly predictable. I'm surprised they even bothered with PSVR2, to be honest.
And this is why I didn't want Xbox to waste money on developing a VR and on top of that waste First Party developers making games for VR. It's way to niche. And way to expensive. If rather the Devs work on normal traditional type games.
I would have been day one on this but no BC means they can F off until its around 300 or so
When it costs more than the console what do they expect 🤦
Luis_maga encomendamos 5 cada um? :)
Too pricey! Price in Norway: 670 dollars..
I’ve cancelled mine, purchase for down the line
Vr on consoles just isn't good. Playing a game you've already played but in vr is boring. When on PC you can mod everything
Not surprising when the headset is more expensive than the console and there's not a lot of incentive to get it. Not enough launch games, no VR backwards compatibility. It's just not a compelling offering at that price.
What were they expecting? Vr games proved to be fail again and again
I bought the first one. Used it a few times but ended up giving it to a friends son because it was worth next to nothing 2nd hand. So I’m not going to pay loads for another, even if it is a much better unit.
Who could've foreseen this in a time of financial uncertainty for many? Their pricing is hugely restrictive, how did they not think this might happen?
It's the price of the ps5, what the fuck did they expect
