Manchester City,Real Madrid,Champions League

Manchester City head to Madrid in fine form and within a point of the Premier League summit. Wins over Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have trimmed the advantage to Liverpool and Arsenal, while City remain in contention in the FA Cup and in Europe. Standing in their way in the Champions League are Real Madrid. The two teams are among the favourites for the crown and City, who hammered Madrid in the quarter finals last term, will hope to progress. Pep Guardiola has managed to rest players in preparation for Tuesday night's contest and it's a player who might not make the XI who could hold the key in the Spanish capital.

Jeremy Doku’s fine performance went under the radar against Villa last week. He delivered a stellar performance on the right, which meant Phil Foden could thrive in the middle and take the limelight with a hat-trick. The Belgium international’s ability to glide with the ball at lightening pace would scare even the sharpest of defenders. He plays with an unpredictable edge with direct running and electric pace to get pulses raising. When forced down the line he isn't fazed and his trickery can leave defenders in their wake, while his ability to cut inside provide another headache for defenders.

This is something Doku will be looking to improve upon. At 21 he is on an upward trajectory which will no doubt see his numbers improve. Along with his six assists in the Premier League, Doku has created five big chances and put in 50 crosses. His immense potential is there to be seen and he’s taking on the responsibility of his tasks for the team too, with high pressing and boundless energy.
