Drunk senior citizen nearly rams police roadblock

AN elderly man driving under the influence of alcohol nearly rammed his vehicle into a roadblock near Queensbay Mall, Bayan Baru, near George Town last night.

Southwest district police chief Supt A.A. Anbalagan said several policemen who were manning the roadblock managed to avoid the vehicle in the incident about 10.30pm last night.
