Abang Johari Openg berkata, Kuching disasarkan sebagai hab utama MASWings dan laluannya akan dikembangkan ke destinasi serantau melibatkan kira-kira enam hingga tujuh jam perjalanan.
Premier Sarawak, Abang Johari Openg, berkata MoU itu akan membuka jalan ke arah perbincangan lebih terperinci antara kedua-dua pihak untuk memastikan negeri itu mendapat pegangan majoriti dalam MASWings. “Daripada segi garis masa, saya akan beri mereka tempoh tiga bulan . Kalau boleh, kami mahu beroperasi sepenuhnya dan mula terbang tahun depan,” katanya selepas majlis menandatangani MoU itu di sini, hari ini.
Abang Johari berkata, kerajaan negeri menyasarkan untuk menjadikan Kuching sebagai hab utama syarikat penerbangan, selain mengembangkan laluan syarikat penerbangan itu ke destinasi serantau melibatkan kira-kira enam hingga tujuh jam perjalanan seperti Australia, Hong Kong, Singapura, Jepun, Korea Selatan dan India.
