AIRASIA Group Bhd group CEO Tony Fernandes said the world has to learn to live with the coronavirus as it has with diseases such as influenza, as countries across the globe seal their borders amid a pandemic. “At some point countries have to take a little bit of risk to reopen as we cannot live in a cave for the rest of our lives,” he said in a Bangkok Post report published yesterday.

Govt need to come up with SOPs that can be practiced by other countries. Follow the law & there shouldnt be any major problems in opening back the borders. Not just for airlines, but also for road borders ie to thailand..

Reopening borders can be possible, this just shows our govt is the one scared and not trusting of their own system and SOPs.
Obviously borders need to reopen soon, otherwise the world’s economy would be thrown off balance. Tourism alone make up for quarter of national gdp for some countries. Not saying that should open borders just like that. Strict SOPs & precautions need to be established first.
