Trump's trade war and Huawei ban 'woke up' Chinese entrepreneurs | JennieDuke

US trade tariffs on China and the ban on controversial telco Huawei have sparked a wave of investment in research and development from Chinese businesses as they rush to innovate to protect future growth.

While Chinese businesses are looking at ways to offset the tariffs, the trade war is also dragging the US economy down, according to UBS chief US economist Seth Carpenter, who blamed the tensions as the main reason he was “somewhat pessimistic about the near-term outlook for the US economy”. “If you have these goods that are necessary to produce things and you’re not importing them and you’re not producing them domestically, you’re kind of stuck,” he said.

Couple flies Nazi flag over Victorian homeA Victorian couple is flying a flag featuring a swastika over their home, reigniting calls to ban people publicly displaying the symbol. The Anti-Defamation Commission chairman says the flag is a 'stomach-turning outrage that is a stain on our community'. I actually thought it was against the law, to fly that flag and do the salute The family blurred it out so it is fine So if another family wants to fly the ISIS flag that would be alright as well. Unbelievable.

RBA rejects 'far-fetched' theory that a cash ban is aimed at giving authorities greater controlThe RBA rejects the theory that the proposed $10,000 cash limit is the first step towards a cashless economy and negative interest rates. I agree, who uses cash now days anyway. The black economy will survive Cash or no cash limits It's no different to political donations However they try to limit them they still find ways to circumvent them It may be a conspiracy theory but look at what is going on in Lebanon right now We think we live in a democracy ? So people involved in criminal acitivities are going to be stopped by a $10k cash transaction limit? Seems unlikely.
