One of Australia’s most wanted fugitives has been captured by the Australian Federal Police following a three-year operation where more than 220 alleged criminals were arrested.

The Australian Federal Police have revealed the stunning way they pulled off the arrest of one of the country’s most wanted fugitives following a three-year operation.Hakan Ayik was caught in Istanbul, Turkey along with 36 others in a joint sting operation by the AFP and Turkish police.

In sharing the app, Ayik led the AFP to bring down more than 220 criminals across 18 countries including the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand and Lebanon, before he was ultimately arrested this week in Operation Cage. “We allege they have an extensive network of criminals or criminals associates from various countries around the world,” he said.
