Australia must be prepared for political warfare: Sharma | Sky News AustraliaLiberal MP Dave Sharma warns Australia must be prepared to wage 'political warfare' and develop offensive intelligence capabilities to destabilise foreign enemies.\n\nThe former ambassador to Israel told Sky News Australia should take inspiration, in part, from Israel's powerful intelligence organisation — Mossad.\n\nMr Sharma said the nation needs to develop new tools to combat the growing threat of political and cyber warfare.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Perhaps start with media ownership laws. Aliens swaying elections sounds inherently dangerous to a democracy. What is the point of constitutional requirement for vote if some votes are zombie votes; swayed by concentrated media 'opinions' with no version of truth in media laws. And this what trump was referring to when Turnbull was told to beef up securities..so Turnbull starts building ships and so forth only to find more leaks in the system which blowout the expense account even thurther..now what does trump stand for..profits not flowers! Maybe DaveSharma should look at his own party? LiberalAus needs to sort out themselves before it goes any further.

Australia should look to Dutch scheme for 'revolutionary' aged care solution | Sky News AustraliaThe 'value' of nurses has been forgotten in the aged care debate according to Assistant Secretary of the Nurses Professional Association of Queensland Jack McGuire.\n\nMr McGuire spoke with Sky News host Chris Smith of the 'revolutionary' solution to arise out of the Netherlands, which could be implemented to tackle the issue of aged care in Australia. \n\nThe Dutch model, known as 'Buurtzorg,' which translates as 'neighbourhood care,' promotes nurses having greater freedoms to provide care and preventative health measures to patients, and their families, who may be in need of support. \n\nThe scheme promotes 'home help,' as opposed to care in aged care facilities. \n\n'People seem to have [forgotten]... the value of a nurse, we send these people to university for four years,' Mr McGuire said. \n\n'We've ended up with a system now where most care is given by people who do a TAFE course for three months'. \n\n'It's a big life step for people to go into an aged care facility and they don't want to do it so why not listen to them and keep them at home,' he said. \n\n'You'd really need a hybrid model of what's happening in the Netherlands and try to apply that to an Australian scenario'. \n\nImage: Getty Most aged care places don’t even have nurses working there in Australia anymore chrissmithonair Seems to me that the best Nursing and Hospital care is reserved for our children so why don’t we have combined facilities with the Aged and Children so that standards improve for the Aged? No poor care would go unnoticed and be constantly called out and the Aged could interact. Common sense I think.

Volunteer firefighters should be ‘compensated for loss of income’ | Sky News AustraliaLiberal Senator Jim Molan says he spent several days with the New South Wales Rural Fire Service and the volunteers made it clear that did not want to be paid.\n\nHowever, Mr Molan said volunteers should be “compensated for loss of income”.\n\n“It is a really good thing what we have done today,” he told Sky News.\n\n“The government has announced there will be compensation for loss of income which preserves the volunteering system but also compensates a number of people who are employees of small businesses or are self-employed.”\n\nImage: News Corp Australia JimMolan Bullshit. JimMolan The RFS has had quite a bit of trouble with some volunteers lighting fires so they can then go out and fight them and be called “heroes”. Throw cash bonuses into the mix and there’ll be far more incentive for the firebugs in their ranks to engage in arson JimMolan So this lib guy says to the rfs guys ‘who would like some money’. & all of them replied no thanks. & you expect people to believe that .🤣🤣🤣
