Hot temperatures and high winds are creating fire danger in three states as Australia's bushfire emergency continues.

The most present danger is in Victoria where nine emergency warnings are in place for fires burning in the East Gippsland region with a mass evacuation ordered during the busy holiday period. South Australia is also experiencing catastrophic fire danger, with an emergency warning issued for Kangaroo Island. An emergency warning has also been issued for a fire threatening Dunns Road in New South Wales.
