Labor Leader Bill Shorten says he will not sign a pledge from the CFMEU to support the controversial Adani mine if he wins the federal election.

Prior to the election campaign, the union disseminated a pledge urging the Labor Party to support the coal mining industry. Labor's candidate for the central Queensland seat of Flynn Zac Beers has signed the pledged. Off course it is, but will Labor stand by their election promise? If they do more people, less water, less power more Co2 emmissions more welfare. Wow.

What about those who paid taxes for decades

Pets you have no pride, you did work for Abbott say no more.

Look over here boat people

Reporting on this Who can forget Barnaby Joyce in 2010, when net govt debt was 6% of GDP: 'We're going into hock to our eyeballs to people overseas ... We are getting to a point where we can't repay it.' Net debt today is 200% higher at 19% of GDP

it is funny that labor and all these leftwing nutjobs want to bring all these extra migrants into Australia, yet have not thought about the impact that will have on our already struggling hospitals, infrastructure & water supplies. The left are a party full of brainless fuckwits

Suck it up Credlin - you're gonna lose. Only a question of by how much 😊

But what a kind gesture 😊

Very hard for you, I’m sure. Like most things.

It's hard to avoid the conclusion that LNP policy to stop legitimate refugees from ever coming into Australia is anything other than a shameless bid for votes of xenophobes and racists in key marginal electorates.

Good.

It’s called humanity, you should try it sometime

Pls explain what is so shameless about families wanting to be together? Kids wanting to be w/parents? Parents wanting to be w/kids? The gov’t wanting to help families? You know what’s really shameless? SkyNews not understanding unified families are good for society. Pathetic!!

Yeah bring in senior citizens who will eventually apply for the age pension, thought we had an ageing population problem.

There will be thousands and thoysands and they will ALL vote Labor forever. Rubbish.

They called it family reunification under Fraser

I've never seen you say anything positive about Labor 😂😂😂

It's hard to avoid the conclusion ridicule of a AustralianLabor policy is anything other than a shameless push to influence voters towards the LNP by Murdoch media. auspol

Is this a news channel? If it is, where are your journalists that bring news to the world? Why do you have some lady expressing her feelings & opinions instead of reporting news like “Today, all politicians did what politicians do during campaign. New policy by Labor FYI.”The end.

They're already coming in under your mob. Muppett.

ikr listening to what voters want. What’s next, following through on election promises 😱

Next time you're sleeping with oh sorry I meant next time your with Abbot ask him where the $500 dollars he promised me are.

Credlin why not show us the policies that labor is actually talking about instead of putting your own spin on it with out any factual evidence. Being an ex failed prime minister staffer does not make your opinions factual.

FO

Credless espousing credibility Keep howling at the moon, you might get some other lunar-tic listening or at the very least the Murdoch tabloid trash to echo.

Millions of voters are so relieved by this news - some compassion at last. Next will AustralianLabor show compassion for the millions of Aus voters who have been traumatised by Australia’s abuse of refugees from Tampa to Christchurch? - it’s gotta change TurnBackToHumanity

Who’s going to pay for their Aged Care needs and pensions?

You couldn't expect anything else Peta from this 4footer 😯

Dear God! Fancy any political party trying to win voter support!

Whose paying for that medical care?

Treasurer Credlin working behind the scenes on the budgets, in the backrooms. Where did her great work get her? Tossed and spat out on the Sky News pile with talents like Rowan Dean, Mark Latham and Chris Kenny.

It’s going to work, LNP will have to match it.

Be different if it were your elderly parents? Besides it's not a lot of people but means a lot to many people. Give it up broom racer.

Australian personal income tax rates will have to rise to 90% to support the Labor / Greens uncapped migrant plan. Australia is heading for 3rd World Status if Labor / Greens get into power.

Billy Shorten & Chris Bowen using our taxes!

God forbid a government should show any heart at all in the presence of the MurdochMafia

No, it's actually really easy to avoid that conclusion. All you have to do is not be a heartless moron.

All they want is open borders...no different to those Democrat morons in The US..

How many more people can Australia take before we run out of water?

Yes utterly shameless, bleeding heart do gooder stuff for the wrong reason.

Or it could be about recognising the importance of family 🤔

All sides are bidding for votes! It’s called an election campaign.

It's a great move

Anything Bill. Sick of her

Each Permanent Parent migrant visa costs taxpayers $410,000 per The Productivity Commision 2016, and no doubt most of these migrants will stay here permanently.

UnBILLlievable.

Thanks goodness you are mentioning this. IT should be the biggest issue of the election. Each migrant can now bring in their parents and step-parents and dependents and we have around 7-8million migrants here. This policy is insanity, we can't afford it.

Facts matter opinions don’t.

Or a life changing opportunity for people who are powerless to see their families. Brilliant policy.

billshortenmp will promise anything to get into power, including destroying welfare system.

Yes HERMAN

It’s a strange one considering both sides of politics are telling us we’re becoming an ageing population. So we have to work longer. Strange one this.

What contribution are elderly parents who have never worked and contributed to this country going to do for our economy? We need young, skilled migrants coming here or NO ONE at all.

Hmm, when the first world are too smart to believe your bullshit, bring in the 3rd world on a con, just for votes.

How about letting a few Europeans in too. Now wouldn't that be fair. 'true diversity'.

What do you expect from Bill the Bullshiter shorten.

We're in the midst of an election campaign. It isn't just Labor calculating announcements to win votes. It's what politicians do every election. Didn't you use to have some sort of vocation that involved political strategy? How do you not know this stuff?

Aren't all election promises shameless bids for votes no matter who makes them

I would say it is more to capture the Indian vote. Many within the Indian community have spoken about how hard it is to bring their parents in.

You bet it is! I’m a self funded retiree, and I’m fuming at this!

Yaaawn.

Yeah better to leave their parents out of the way hey Peta, god you pple are awful
