Senior Labor figure seeks to clarify Labor's superannuation policy, claiming Bill Shorten 'misheard' question

Shadow Finance Minister Jim Chalmers has sought to clarify Labor's superannuation policy, claiming Bill Shorten misheard or did not understand a question about the issue yesterday.

When pressed by reporters yesterday, Mr Shorten said Labor had no plan to increase taxation on superannuation contributions. "I have no idea what Bill Shorten was talking about today when he says he won't be putting increased taxes on superannuation," Mr Morrison said.ABC News examines the main superannuation changes that the major political parties are proposing."When Bill Shorten said we don't have any plans, he was talking about we don't have any additional things to announce during the election campaign," Mr Chalmers said.
