Queensland's corruption watchdog has criticised the Palaszczuk government's proposed 'Trad laws' which aim at cracking down on ministerial conflicts of interest.

Queensland's corruption watchdog has criticised the Palaszczuk government's proposed "Trad laws" which aim at cracking down on ministerial conflicts of interest.

The commission said the laws unintentionally water down conflict of interest requirements and was especially critical of the government's insistence ministers must have "dishonest intent" in order to face criminal charges. Treasurer Jackie Trad faced widespread criticism after failing to declare her family's purchase of an investment property which was located near the proposed route of her signature Cross River Rail project.
