Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has reportedly pleaded in a letter for President Donald Trump to revise US travel warnings for Australia. 9News

The US State Department last week put out a new warning of Americans to consider postponing their travel to Australia with disastrous bushfires ravaging the country. But the Courier-Mail reports that the premier has passionately pleaded with the US leader to reconsider the warning, which could be damaging to the tourism industry at delicate time.

"The last thing we need is for international tourists to think that the entire country of Australia is not safe to visit," Ms Palaszczuk wrote. "We have large parts of our beautiful country that are not affected and would love to welcome American tourists here."I urge you to change the travel advice for American tourists looking to visit Australia."

Many of Queensland and Australia's hardest-hit bushfire areas are regions where the tourism industry dominates.

Trump rallies supporters over 'American justice' for Iranian general Qassem SoleimaniUS President Donald Trump makes the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani a theme of his re-election campaign. Trump making the media take the terrorists side is peak TDS. Has anyone considered that 180 innocent people on a passenger airline and 50 people killed in a stampede would be alive if Trump hadn't decided to assassinate an Iranian General to distract from his impeachment? Imagine if the Iranians chose to eliminate their enemies in the same fashion?
