Sky News host Catherine McGregor says 'while some of the more onerous restrictions in Melbourne have been lifted, it's too little too late' for much of regional Victoria.

Sky News host Catherine McGregor says "while some of the more onerous restrictions in Melbourne have been lifted, it's too little too late" for much of regional Victoria.

"The so-called Ring of Steel around Melbourne looks more like a tea-strainer of steel after one infected couple managed to wend their way right through regional NSW before finally arriving at the Sunshine Coast, leaving a number of regional townships under lockdown in their wake," she said. Ms McGregor spoke to Nationals MP Dr Anne Webster about the impacts to mental health the constant and sustained lockdowns are having on Victorians.

'Emma Cassar has gone missing' as Melbourne hotel quarantine suffers security breach | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Peta Credlin says CQV head Emma Cassar 'has gone missing' as exclusive CCTV footage obtained by Sky News reveals a security breach at a Melbourne quarantine hotel at the centre of concerns about the Delta outbreak.\n\n'CCTV from April 27 shows a man using a large object to pry a number plate off the back of a vehicle parked inside the Novotel\u002FIbis quarantine hotel, before stealing it, Ms Credlin said.\n\n'The man managed to get there after sneaking his way into 408 Lonsdale - an apartment block that backs onto this hotel. First went through foyer, then mailroom, then the carpark.\n\n'And as Julia Bradley has confirmed, the car with the now-stolen licence plate in fact belongs to the Australian Defence Force with the ADF confirming late this afternoon, that this theft has now been reported to Victoria Police.'\n\nMs Credlin said since this story first broke two days ago, Sky News reporters have said no hotel quarantine officials have appeared at daily press conferences.\n\n'Certainly, we haven't seen Emma Cassar front at all,' she said.\n\n'And let's not forget this hotel is at the centre of concerns about the outbreak of the Delta variant. The same Delta variant that we were told was so hyper-infectious that it forced Melbourne into its fourth lockdown.\n\n'You can see can't you why residents have been so concerned, and while Melburnians like me, might be happy to be out of lockdown tonight, with this sort of incompetence, unless something changes and fast, it won't be long before we are back there again.' Has skynews host peta Credlin got to the bottom of Northern Beaches Cluster yet? gladys ruined Christmas for whole of Aus and source of leak yet to be found? When is she questioning Gladys in the presser ? You really are desperate to try and find some leverage for the Victorian Libs. They will go the way of the WA Libs and no amount of fake news will save them. Desperate !!! More crap news!!!

Many Melbourne businesses will still be unable to open when lockdown lifts | Sky News AustraliaLockdown may be lifting but life will be far from normal for Melburnians with many businesses still unable to open as questions remain around how the delta strain of COVID-19 leaked out of hotel quarantine.\n\nTailored Fitness Solutions Owner Sam Dawson told Sky News anger was probably the “biggest” feeling in response to the government’s insistence gyms should remain closed despite the lockdown easing. \n\n“Anger’s probably the biggest one, like I said … the expectation of being opened today and then having your hopes cut down at the last second was a tough pill to swallow,” he said.\n\n“I understand that there are restrictions, but I think there should be a bit more leniency”. \n\nVictoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton was adamant the decision was based on health advice arguing “the combination of indoor settings, closed environments, people exerting themselves, really has significant opportunity for spread”. \n Sky, the eternal pessimists. I'm sure one of the Karen's living in Melbourne would know. They can be found at Bunnings or Brighton. Just what the WHO AMA viroligists epioligists have been saying the last 6mths airborne transmission if you just did your homework sky you would know that

Victorian government officials seem to be ‘living in a parallel universe’ | Sky News AustraliaVictorian Liberal MP Tim Smith says those in the state government “seem to be living in a parallel universe”.\n\nMelbourne is set to come out of lockdown 11:59pm Thursday, with the state recording four new coronavirus cases overnight.\n\n“This is costing hundreds of millions every day,” Mr Smith told Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\n“There is no reason why this lockdown couldn’t have ended at 11:59pm last night.”\n Missed today's presser, did Dim Sim Smith send any more inane questions to his go to media rep Rachelle Baxendale? Amazing how many people clearly haven’t affected by 4 months of lockdown to think the government is doing a good job. We are dictated to by people who have zero knowledge of the private sector and have themselves a pay rise at the same time, that’s not the universe most live in If Tim Smith is your draw card that explains your Rag!
