'It can be really dangerous': Police warn wild mushrooms are not so magic

It is a fungus that grows wild in the forest and causes a psychedelic high when ingested, but police are warning not all magic mushrooms are created equal, and the dangers can be terrifying.Nannup Police head out daily to search for people foraging for magic mushrooms in the surrounding forest

The daily routine at this time of year for Sergeant McNevin is searching for people picking psilocybin mushrooms, commonly known as magic mushrooms. The first significant winter rain triggers the start of psilocybin mushroom season, and the ABC recently drove along the backroads of Nannup with the town's police officers.

He said the German backpacker drove to Perth and sold his car, worth up to $10,000, for just $1,000 and worked out in a random gym for three hours.

Cops should be forced to try all drugs before graduating from their little police academy. If they don’t then become enlightened and change their way of thinking and choose another career, they should be put down. Mushrooms are awesome
