One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has told Sky News the government should invest in infrastructure projects to create jobs and assets simultaneously, and in turn help reverse Australia’s economic downturn. “Employment is what is going to turn around the economy,” Ms Hanson said.

Ms Hanson added some employers have told her they are unable to hire low-skilled workers. She said the government needs to encourage people to “get out there and get a job”. “We have to have a fairer system to encourage people to want to go out to work,” Ms Hanson said. “Our whole educational system is letting our people down”. Yes that’s right how do we get water from the North monsoon regions to drought areas...that’s infrastructure projects that we must undertake! Handing money is not the solution.

everyone is saying this. this losers says it after everyone and its somehow news? im a moron but u ppl are next level

She is not in govt

🤦🏻‍♂️

MRobertsQLD How about introducing a laws like Japan where businesses employing less than 50 people are exempt from many of the rules that apply to big business.

All projects should bring forward instead of being obsessed with surplus.

MRobertsQLD Brilliant work... Some common sense from a politician - very rare indeed 👍

It’s what used to happen back in the day. Gov would build infrastructure!

Who stood behind her and whispered that in her ear. Don't believe she though of that herself.

Govt 'going soft , going nowhere' with the economy | Sky News AustraliaOpposition Leader Anthony Albanese has lashed out at the Coalition after the global growth outlook dipped to the lowest point in a decade.\n\n“We have circumstances whereby the government is just in drift pretending everything is okay,” Mr Albanese said.\n\n“What this government is doing is going slowly, going soft, going nowhere when it comes to the economy.”\n\nThe Labor leader’s comments come after the International Monetary Fund downgraded its forecasts for Australia and backed the Reserve Bank's move to cut interest rates to a record low.\n\nThe growth forecast has been cut from 2.1 per cent to 1.7 per cent - a figure below the government and RBA's forecast.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Australia has had over 25 years of continuous growth. So it dips. Nothing good lasts forever. At least the Conservatives are better at managing the economy. If Shorten would be in power, things would be worse. Slowdowns are a normal part of the cycle. There's no such thing as infinitive growth auspol At least the economy is moving, the opposition was going to kill it with their pre election policies. The opposition has no credibility here!

Morrison keeps his 'cool' on the economy | Sky News AustraliaPrime Minister Scott Morrison is vowing to keep his 'cool' as he faces increasing pressure to take action on Australia's economic growth.\n\nThat's despite three cuts to the official interest rate since the May election - a move the government said is providing economic stimulus. \n\nThe downgrade in growth forecasts saw calls from Labor for a global financial crisis-style stimulus package.\n\nThe Mr Morrison said these uncertain times call for lower taxes and reducing the cost of doing business, not a time for Labor's policies of panic and crisis.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Peter Costello: Our economy, with 5.3 per cent unemployment, with a record number of people in work and workforce participation at a record high, with inflation at 1.6 per cent, with a trade surplus, with a balanced budget is by those objective indicators a good economy. . Come on Scott get of your hands and start saving our future, remember NO FARMERS NO FOOD, or are you blind and stupid. You have to act NOW not tomorrow because tomorrow will be to late. Of course sky news is selective they don't hold the Liberals to account meanwhile our economy is going down the drain!!!!!

Australia is 'land of droughts and flooding rains' despite climate change | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny has lashed out at the ABC, saying the public broadcaster uses Australian taxes “against” the public to “push their chosen political and ideological line on climate change”.\n\n“As I've demonstrated before by reference to the science - the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change no less - and other sources, there is no way you can scientifically blame Australia's current drought to climate change,” Mr Kenny said. \n\n“But the ABC is intent on making the link, even playing 'gotcha' politics to force politicians to make a pointless concession … It seems they can't handle the truth.”\n\nMr Kenny added that Australia is “land of droughts and flooding rains” and it will be “so long as we exist on this continent”.\n The man is insignificant. Reporting well understood science is now apparently pushing a political and ideology agenda. Kenny is getting more and more obsessed and fixated with the ABC. Does he every do a program that doesn’t include “lash(ing) out at the ABC” 'The science' he says, hoping to god no one watched Media Watch on said target channel inserting what he consistently omitted from this week's 'totally rock solid rebuttal' snippet. Wonder why he's angry tho lol 😢
