Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has lashed out at the Coalition after the global growth outlook dipped to the lowest point in a decade. KennyReport

Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has lashed out at the Coalition after the global growth outlook dipped to the lowest point in a decade. “We have circumstances whereby the government is just in drift pretending everything is okay,” Mr Albanese said.

“What this government is doing is going slowly, going soft, going nowhere when it comes to the economy.” The Labor leader’s comments come after the International Monetary Fund downgraded its forecasts for Australia and backed the Reserve Bank's move to cut interest rates to a record low. The growth forecast has been cut from 2.1 per cent to 1.7 per cent - a figure below the government and RBA's forecast.

The financial World sneezes and Australia catches a cold, nothing new Albo. There's nothing wrong and certainly nothing Labor could do better. Infact go back to bed and carry on Dreaming.

Loser. Did Setka approve this message?

If Labor won we would all now be paying higher taxes and they would have increased the debt. They don’t believe in balancing the budget. How many times did Swann lie about they would have a surplus (4). Would not trust Labor one bit.

Can he be that stupid ? ..........YES !

Australia is responsible for the world now AlboMP?

At least the economy is moving, the opposition was going to kill it with their pre election policies. The opposition has no credibility here!

AlboMP If all you have is anti Govt rhetoric after the last election than you have learn’t nothing & your position is now up for grabs. Your weakness is showing daily. People are talking when you leave the room Your time as Labor leader is like Turnbull’s. Watch ur back fella

Slowdowns are a normal part of the cycle. There's no such thing as infinitive growth auspol

Australia has had over 25 years of continuous growth. So it dips. Nothing good lasts forever. At least the Conservatives are better at managing the economy. If Shorten would be in power, things would be worse.

Pauline was onto this before any of her contemporaries. I hope she gets the support in the senate to help our farmers. Make it law, that all retail out let's sell and buy milk at a price dictated by the farmers.

Morrison govt return 'strong results' in social security sector | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Peta Credlin says the Morrison government has returned “strong results” after figures show the number of Australians receiving working-age income support payments has fallen to its lowest level in 30 years. \n\nFigures also show a reduction in key welfare categories including Disability Support Pension, youth allowance and family tax benefits. \n\n“These sorts of reductions matter, they matter because no one should get support that doesn't need it or doesn't qualify and every dollar saved is a dollar that can then be spent on people who need it, or left in your pocket, as taxpayers, in the first place,” said Ms Credlin. \n\nMs Credlin said the Coalition “deserve credit” for what they have achieved in the social security portfolio.\n\nMs Credlin said, “it's the duty of centre-right governments to continually look for savings, and tighten processes to ensure that there are no rorts, rackets or rip-offs in existing programmes.”\n\n“Sometimes, the changes needed are not rocket-science, they're just good old common sense,” she said. \n\nImage: Getty Even if that number was after everyone involved with Extinction Rebellion got booted still a good result😎 Peta Credlin needs to go to Specsavers. She is obviously so lost in the political wilderness that she can’t see the forest through the trees. Nobody with an IQ that's hit double digits gives a flying f$ck what Credlin says.

Govt ‘still waiting for details’ of US-China trade agreement | Sky News AustraliaTrade Minister Simon Birmingham says the government is “still waiting for details” after the US and China reached a phase one trade agreement, but he is “not too phased at present” over concerns the deal could come at the expense of Australian produce being purchased.\n\nDonald Trump announced on Friday that the two nations had reached a “substantial” phase one trade agreement covering intellectual property, financial services and large agricultural purchases.\n\nHe offered few specifics but it was reported that the US will suspend a tariff hike on $US250 billion in Chinese imports that was set for Tuesday.\n\nIn exchange, China will buy between $US40 billion and $US50 billion in US farm products and be more open about how the value of its currency is set.\n\n “The only product lines that have been identified are soy beans and pork in terms of any public commentary to date,” Mr Birmingham said.\n\n“Neither of those are significant areas of Australian exports to China, so if that’s where it’s active it’s very low-risk for Australia.”\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Lol...there isn't a trade agreement, it's Trump spin...Xi doesn't have to face voters, FMD Trump is dumb. Govt 'can’t simply turn a blind eye' to Australians in Syrian detention camps | Sky News AustraliaShadow Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong has told Sky News “Australia can’t simply turn a blind eye' to the several dozen Australians trapped in detention camps for Islamic State fighters in north-eastern Syria.\n\nMs Wong said the government should initially look at “those who are victims”, while also considering “what we do with ISIS fighters who are Australians'. \n\nThe senator added children shouldn’t be responsible for “the sins of their parents.”\n\n“I don’t profess to know what the ideal is,” Ms Wong said. \n\n“The ideal would be that people didn’t fight with ISIS, but we don’t live in that world.”\n\nMs Wong placed some blame on the Trump administration for Turkey’s invasion of Syria, saying the intervention was enabled by the US' decision last week to withdraw troops from Syria. \n\nShe said the Turkish military intervention would “compromise and erode regional stability and global stability”, “exacerbate a humanitarian crisis”, and “compromise the fight against” the Islamic State. \n\n“Regrettably I think we are seeing that playing out,” Ms Wong said. \n\nMs Wong urged the Australian government to join the 'world community' in “pushing for a ceasefire.' But they're in detention camps silent R. Don't you know how detention camps work? If you could ask to be let out, don't you think people in the camps would have tried that? Govt must regulate dairy industry because 'farmers are going under' | Sky News AustraliaPauline Hanson says the two major political parties need to stop 'playing political games' with the dairy industry because 'farmers are going under, they’re losing their properties, homes and livelihoods'. \n\nThe One Nation Party leader this week refused to vote with the government on non-critical legislation until it agreed to regulate the dairy industry, which she said was suffering a painful demise since its deregulation in 2000. \n\nSenator Hanson called on the government to “get out and do your job for the people in this country because dairy farmers are going under”. \n\n“I’ve got to take a stand with this because the government’s not doing anything about it, the National Party’s not doing anything and Labor is all talk and no action,” she said. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia PaulineHansonOz That wont happen Pauline,Morrison is a fence sitter and KK is running the Labor Party. Australia is 'land of droughts and flooding rains' despite climate change | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny has lashed out at the ABC, saying the public broadcaster uses Australian taxes “against” the public to “push their chosen political and ideological line on climate change”.\n\n“As I've demonstrated before by reference to the science - the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change no less - and other sources, there is no way you can scientifically blame Australia's current drought to climate change,” Mr Kenny said. \n\n“But the ABC is intent on making the link, even playing 'gotcha' politics to force politicians to make a pointless concession … It seems they can't handle the truth.”\n\nMr Kenny added that Australia is “land of droughts and flooding rains” and it will be “so long as we exist on this continent”.\n The man is insignificant. Reporting well understood science is now apparently pushing a political and ideology agenda. Kenny is getting more and more obsessed and fixated with the ABC. Does he every do a program that doesn’t include “lash(ing) out at the ABC” 'The science' he says, hoping to god no one watched Media Watch on said target channel inserting what he consistently omitted from this week's 'totally rock solid rebuttal' snippet. Wonder why he's angry tho lol 😢
