One Nation leader Pauline Hanson told Sky News she is “sick of the procrastination that goes on" at parliament in relation to assisting dairy farmers struggling to make ends meet amid the drought. "Decisions aren't made," Ms Hanson said. Ms Hanson put an urgency motion to the Senate on Tuesday calling on the government to prioritise action to assist dairy farmers.

It was voted down after opposition by Liberal and National parties, despite receiving support from Labor and the Greens. Ms Hanson plans to introduce a private member's bill on the dairy industry into the Senate on Wednesday. The One Nation leader said she may abstain from voting on non-critical legislation until the Morrison government acts to assist dairy farmers. Image: Getty

If the government won’t assist dairy farmers when they are desperate, perhaps farmers should stop paying taxes. Dairy farmers should start co-operatives again to demand higher prices.

Not procrastinating, they simply haven’t a clue

Love her or hate her, you have to admire this woman, at least she has stood up for the farmers, where are all the other politicians that are supposed to be looking after this country. They have no idea of what’s happening to Australia !!

last ditch effort to help struggling dairy farmers

As soon as the dairy industry was deregulated as they wanted & subject to overseas pricing their return per litre decreased. This gas led to less dairies & milk oroducts exported not sure Pauline is across the history

Perhaps try pronouncing three words required for policy to move beyond prayer & redirect serious $$$$ for environmental action + support for farmers & FF workers to retrain. theReal_Pauline & SenatorMRoberts ... 1. anthropogenic 2. climate 3. change.

Just add 50cents to the litre Just fucking do it No One will complain

Yet Hanson SUPPORTS Them!

Pauline was onto this before any of her contemporaries. I hope she gets the support in the senate to help our farmers.

Make it law, that all retail out let's sell and buy milk at a price dictated by the farmers.

That would be the same Pauline Hanson who wasted parliament's time with a Burkka stunt and had to be shamed into turning up to work?
