A man who spent a decade working in communities around Uluru has accused white bureaucrats of misrepresenting Aboriginal lore to push their own agenda to have the rock climb closed.

Former Docker River resident David Hewitt told Sky News they have concerns about the potential legal and financial ramifications of people getting killed or injured while on that rock climb. Witnesses say a 12-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after she fell more than 20 metres while trying to climb down Uluru on Tuesday. Many people are lining up to climb Uluru in the days before it is set to close on October 26.

I thought aboriginal elders wanted the climbing banned.

Years ago, the aboriginals used to show people the best climbing routes and explain how for centuries (at least) it had been used as a lookout post. The 'sacred' and therefore shouldn't be climbed nonsense, is just loonyleft ideology which the aboriginals have fallen for.

He’s white isn’t he

Lmao

Is he a local Indigenous person?
