Tony Abbott's conservative backers have urged the Coalition government to find the former prime minister an important public role auspol

Tony Abbott's conservative backers have urged the Coalition government to find the former prime minister an important public role following his ousting as the MP for Warringah by independent Zali Steggall.

"You want to have someone in there with a very high stature who, if there’s ever an issue, can pick up the phone and say, 'I need to speak to the President'. I think Tony would have that," Mr Kelly said. Soon after becoming Prime Minister, Mr Morrison appointed Mr Abbott as a special envoy for Indigenous affairs, however,Mr Abbott has also had a long affinity with British politics and Mr Kelly suggested another option could be Australia's high commissioner in London, a role currently held by former attorney-general George Brandis.

Make him janitor of their headquarters

High commissioner to Alabama

He could head the Department of Recidivism.

Why?

TonyAbbottMHR got voted out because the public have had enough of him. We don't want him back

The cleaning of public toilets would be fitting.

Jonatho43827873 Ambassador to Mars?

'Immense talents'? 1. Sniping 2. Undermining. 3. Sabotage 4. Moral busybody. 5. Bully 6. Liar. I could go on...and on...

WARNING: Sooking, hateful comments here under ! They don’t respect or lose well, do they !

Get rid of GETUP Steggels has she got 44 Australian citizenship?

Jonatho43827873 I’d like to see Tony as managing director of ABC. 😂 or Ambassador...didn’t Wong have her eye on an overseas posting? 😂

Smile__Petal That’s so funny 😂

There’s a dunny in a reserve not far from my joint that needs a regular clean out.

Smile__Petal Immense talents😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

$300k a year, he sure does need a job!!!

Absolutely! He should be the first man on Mars

Ambassador to Afghanistan.

Chair of the Aaaarh Council

Nice to have mates in high places. Maybe Tony should get on with designing that new dunny block on Manly Beach. He wasn't quite able to achieve it in his 25 years as the local member. Maybe now he has more time he can get it done. Go Tones. You can do it!

Its a must tony must get a job

He was voted out for a reason. When will these cavemen learn?

Special Envoy to Iran

How about Tony becomes ambassador to Brunei?

Rabbott’s have survived Myxomatosis and Calicivirus, I don’t think an election loss will finish him!

Maybe something in renewable energy

Live target at the local rifle range. Minimum wage only. Not much in the way of career advancement prospects but good super.

Tony could become Australia's version of Al Gore! His policies would more accurately reflect the truth than those from Al.

Get out his boxing gloves and dressing gown and run a travelling boxing tent

I think Aussie Bum need a mature model. Just don’t put it on the buses.

Why on earth

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Adani need any coal miners ?

Yet another job for the boys. If you’re incompetent and a failure, you’re entitled to a plum posting at the embassy of your choice. Follow in Downer, Hockey and Brandis’ footsteps.

Hear hear

OMG ‘immense talents’ ...pleeaase don’t make me puke! The only ‘talent’ he has is fronting up for photo shoots....send him off to Hollywood..he is sure to make an impact there...if at nothing else he can be a stand-in for any onion eaters they may need!

He could be a special envoy to manus & nauru all that tropical paradise he used to speak of.

Building toilets at Manly beach is an important public role. Go Tony.

Defender Of The Dunnies? ImportantRole TonyAbbott auspol

Don’t quite know where baseless immeasurable ego, xenophobic, homophobic, racist, elitist, misogynist are qualifiers for any role could be applied really.

They need new public toilets in Manly.

High pay jobs for Liberals mates, if not payed by taxpayer's will be in private lucky he will not needed to go to the Centrelink stress department or apply hundred of times.

He might just want to retire!

He can be the public janitor

Is there any ministery for paedo’s friends?

Please don’t give him anything in tourism. Visions of him in budgy smugglers would not attract people to Oz.

Why? Is his $300,000 government paid pension not enough?

Yep agree.

He'd be great on Demolition Day on any of those endless Reality Renovation Shows on the Telly.

He had an important public role and he blew it. Never again

As Labor seems to have a problem with women it should use Abbott’s decency, courage against vile obscene abuse and immense talent to lead them. Plibersek not game to lead a Party in chaos. Abbott is Labor’s only chance. Go for him.

Teachers college

🤮

Keeper of the bike paths.

Climate change denier?

He’snot qualified to do anything.

Reward our Knights

How about....no. Or, alright, here's an idea, here's a job for him - oxygen thief. Ah shit, he's already got that job. I know! Executive door stopper.

Why waste tax payers money on this dude

Whilst it was thrilling to jump for joy at his political demise, anyone thinking 🕷Tony Abbott🕷 is gonna quietly crawl under a rock & leave Oz in peace has rocks in their head. 😪🇦🇺😪

Village idiot

But I thought politicians could earn more in the private sector on merit alone? auspol

Why? He is 300, 000 a year. Yeah let’s reward him. That’s the Aussie way!

As a toilet cleaner

Toilet cleaner on Manus -- very appropriate! And I'm serious!! 😡😡😡

Maybe he can drive a mobile library truck

New start?

No, he’s a wrecker

They could create a position like 'Secratary For Child Welfare & Abuse' - He would be good at this I'm sure.

Why the f**k for?

Ambassador for dunnies

show him the exit door, read the public opinion

Court Jester at Buckingham Palace would be suitable. Close to his favorite Australian, Prince Phillip.

You had a good run tony just go away. Enjoy your life.

Ask Rupert first he may have other plans .

What ?

ambassador to Kabul A sin bin for a wrecker

Street sweeper

It should be about right person for the right role. “Jobs for the boys” is what will bring people down. Seriously. (Face palm)

Why

Federal ICAC Chief Commissioner to root out political corruption?

Chief library detector?

He can be a LGBT wedding celebrant.

Cultural attaché to the D R of Congo.

Jobs for the boys ?

How about he gets off the public teat like he has insisted others do for so long. Go on Tony, put those onion eating skills to the test in the real world! GetaRealJobTony AusPol

Ambassador to Iraq?

go to hell

..head of the National Sewer Inspectorate would be above his grade, but he'd be right at home there in his 'budgie smugglers'.. ..failing that, how about ambassador to Nauru?.. ..give him a fucking knighthood to seal the deal!! auspol ausvotes MadMonk LibLiars CorruptNats

TonyAbbottMHR was the one who had masterminded liberal's surprise win behind the scene. Sure he deserves a good job.

He can live off his franking credits

Send him to the Holy See. He can tell them his stories of Pell.

I have some ideas: Being so Manly, he could clean those toilets he so desperately wanted or he could become the public face of onion farms all across the country, testing the different flavours according to how dry or polluted the soil is....

NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear.

Since when were division and derision immense talents?

They already did, they gave him Indigenous Envoy. What did he do with that?

A job at the 'ZOO'😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Here we go, looking after 'the old boys'. If they do this, he will still be the vindictive thorn in everyone's side, he has no grace and has been devolving for some time. We will see what happens.

Chief Onion Tester

Seriously? If he can’t keep abreast with the sentiment and wishes of his own electorate why would he put the world ahead of his own arrogant illusions

Why? Cause no one else wants him?

Ambassador to Antarctica 🇦🇶?

No they shouldn't. 25 years is enough on tax payer salary. Time to go Private Tony as see what you can do.

Federal onion czar?

Pleeeeessseeee. NO.

More welfare for the rich.

Why not? They’ve found plenty of plum jobs for their mates before the election when they thought they were going to lose onemorewonthurt

I would like to see Tony as ambassador to the USA. Boy would Julie be upset.

A Knighthood on the cards here!

I didn't agree with much of TA's ideology but he was dedicated and did work hard for his community in many roles. For that he should be remembered. But his reward was a good salary and a very generous parliamentary superannuation pension. A paid Public Role should not be expected

Ambassador to Papua New Guinea?

Building dunnies in Manly. apparently they’re urgently needed, so it’s an important role. Or maybe he could punch through the rock to create the tunnel.

As an undertaker.

Beach patrol.

Out of the country ..............................

Immense talents 🤣

might be time to put the cue back in the rack mate

Perhaps a role in demolition would be appropriate

US ambassador yep.
