A Sydney school has closed its senior campus after a student contracted coronavirus just one day after students across NSW returned to classrooms. 9News

Tourism minister Simon Birmingham is hopeful individual states and territories will soon reopen their borders to travellers to boost the economy.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson launched her own legal action last week over Queensland's border closures."I've got no doubt that if it gets to that point, it will be a strong debate before the court and a tough judgment for the High Court justices. "Obviously, they are in no international visitors coming in at present and if we continue to have the situation where interstate travel is limited as well, then it has a crippling effect on those small businesses and the jobs they generate."

"It is logical to open up with the other one but it will still take a little while and we will be guided by the health advice on each side," Mr Birmingham said.
