The term Invasion Day has gone viral on social media once again, with influencers giving tutorials on how to decline Australia Day events as a 'friendly reminder' they should not be 'celebrating genocide'.

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has warned councils against refusing to hold Australia Day celebrations"in a range of increasingly ridiculous ways".

"It is also very sad to see some councils continue to politicise Australia Day this year, in a range of increasingly ridiculous ways, totally out of step with an overwhelming majority of people and the Australian community generally.

SkyFascistNews - supporting Aboriginal genocide. Who would have think it?

Lets celebrate Australia triumphs and remember the good and bad! We are all Australians, we come together has one people. To celebrate Australia birthday 🎊🥳🎂🎉 Happy Australia Day

Sad that many want to keep blaming todays people of the atrocities they had no control over. Should be celebrating the good deeds people have done for the people of the land and the preservation of nature and its animals.

Yes I agree. All the virtue signalers rallying against Australia Day should protest by declining to take the public holiday and attending work. They could also enhance their efforts by donating the day's pay to the cause they are championing.

Welfare Day

😂 $30b a year isn’t enough. Why do you take our blood money 🙄

It is TIME for the discussion -about our CONVICTANCESTORS shipped to a baron land. Never to see their families again, worked until they were bleeding to the bone, shackled …..Today is for them more then anyone else. Happy Australia Day Australia 🇦🇺

Happy Australia Day Australia. Never change australia 🇦🇺

Blah, blah blah, move along

It was colonization, not an invasion. If it was an 'invasion', then there are victors and losers. Why must we constantly hear from the losers? Enough of this 'invasion' horse-shit! AustraliaDay2022 InvasionDay

90% of them are 95% Caucasian, but play on the 5%. Wake up Australia!

All I know is that my ancestors were invited to Australia, we did not invade anyone or any country to be here. We bought and paid for our own land and have the paperwork to prove it.

If we’re celebrating Australia, why have the day that the Poms set up in Sydney? A day that began a process of genocide? Why not make it representative of ALL Australians? If your response is “cos tradition” sit down.

No acknowledgement of the plight of the first peoples. Taken off their land to work on remote stations, paid with tobacco & food, taken from families, lived in tin sheds. But how good now !! Now bigger sheds, debt controlled cards, repeatedly locked up, third world health care.

Nothing as easy to predict as the self-declared careless larrikin ay

Fair enough.

Doesn't matter what day it is, their will always be a moaning minority that tries to ruin a day of inclusion.

Go away!

The one question to ask on Australia DayIt’s a summer affair — we can hear the cadence of unfolding camp chairs, the hissing of oil and beef, the fireworks of cracking tinnies. In the backdrop, warriors are stomping into formation. The day of January 26, as it unfolds across the nation, means many different things to us all. Stop pushing this agenda , your own poll shows your readers don't support it. Just report the news. Get getting sick of your writers preaching to us about politics and Covid. Stick to news and stop with unwanted agenda narrative , guess shouldn't expect anthing less from a digital MSM 🖕

'Moving forward as one': Predominantly Aboriginal island celebrates Australia Day for first timeFor the first time, a largely Indigenous community in Queensland's north is celebrating Australia Day as local leaders seek to reinvent a date that carries a painful past. 'We've got Germans, Maoris, Kiwis, South Africans, non-Indigenous Australians,' Cr Yanner said. 'We're having spear-throwing competitions, egg and spoon races, we're feasting on Maori and PNG foods, Aboriginal Kup Murris, and of course we'll have a sausage sizzle.' Looks like the bbq 🍖 is going to get a work out 🦘🤪😂💩🦠🇦🇺☠️
