The unseen mental health realities of remote work

As someone who had the privilege of working from home full-time for more than a year, I can’t help but reflect on the journey with a sense of mixed emotions. The term “prevailed” seems fitting, albeit loosely, because what started as a dreamy escape from the office grind eventually turned into something entirely unexpected.

In the beginning, those first few weeks were nothing short of bliss. I revelled in all the perks that came with a home office – no traffic jams, impromptu shopping trips and the freedom to work in comfy sweatpants while raiding my fridge for snacks.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
