Each election, the electoral body employs students -- not just for help, but also to teach them about the voting process.

The students are from various tertiary institutions and their backgrounds range from journalism to law.But throughout these extremely busy few days, they all have a common goal: To help streamline the election process.

The students have become an integral part of the IEC's Results Centre for general elections for a number of years now. So while the political winners are yet to be announced, for the students and the IEC it's a win-win situation.
