A video, widely shared on social media, showed two queues; one populated by white people, and the other by black people.

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape chief electoral officer Courtney Sampson said on Wednesday there was no racial segregation at a voting station in Wellington.

This was the first year that citizens could cast their votes anywhere they pleased. But those voters had to fill out a form first.Sampson said all the backlogs were cleared. He said it often took a while to get ballots to stations that had run out, because of the importance of keeping those ballots safe and secure.

Bt y separated line when black students arrive...there r lots of white students as well in Wellington.. I think IEC is to blame here for creating ths unnecessary race issue.

And did they take action against the irresponsible person who reported the matter without gathering the facts? Can this person be held accountable for misleading folk?

Why dismiss something that we can see

One queue ‘for whites’, another ‘for blacks’ in Wellington was not racist, says IECCourtney Sampson says officials separated voters according to their registration status and not their race. So who was complaining? The blacks about the white queue or the whites about the black queue? So then who is being racist? The people in the queue or the people allocating the queues? This is an excuse to blatant racism, how come only black people or white people do the same thing? This is rubbish How long are you going to protect racism guys, just how long and how far are you going to sustain it. This is utter nonsense and a disgrace .Tomorrow the very same Iec will complain that Blf or Eff are racist, forgetting that they are the main perpetrators.
