Kaizer Chiefs says if their discussions were unsuccessful to lure Teboho Mokoena from SuperSport United to Naturena, that does not mean they did not “take the conversation further”, as the player's agent Glyn Binkin has asserted.

Chiefs' communications manager Vina Maphosa said if discussions for Mokoena to join Amakhosi were unsuccessful that does not mean the Soweto giants did not pursue the discussions, and if they did break the negotiation they would have had reasons for it.“Thomas had an interview. The player mentioned is not playing for Kaizer Chiefs. I can't talk about him.

“But when we engage in negotiations with anybody, we take it the negotiations are within that space and in good faith, and not for anybody to go out and perhaps paint the discussions in the way they were presented by what you are asking me."If I come to you and discuss with you, and then we end at a certain point, it means that point is the end. It doesn't mean it didn't go further.

Binkin told Mlambo that Belgian club Anderlecht had expressed interest in Mokoena but did not enter the race to sign the player.“There was no offer from Anderlecht. My colleagues in Europe spoke to Anderlecht, they do like the player, but he's not their number one target,” Binkin said. “In this window there haven't been international offers so we decided to look at what was available locally and potentially in North Africa, because there was some interest from Egypt.”

Chiefs must take negotiations to the next level on MPULE....us who understands football we know that MPULE is the missing puzzle in current chiefs squad,,we need a comfortable playmaker like MPULE and chiefs rather sell half of the squad to secure him ,,pleasssssssss Bobsteak...

Anyway they wouldn't have paid R25m to outbid the European interest in the player.

Kaizer Chiefs Technical Team Challenged For Itumeleng Khune PerformanceA former Kaizer Chiefs player has challenged the club’s head coach Stuart Baxter and his technical team to consider giving Itumeleng Khune a chance in the team in the second round of the season. SLSiya Read more: That will good. I want IIKHUNE_32_16 on the second leg against Sundowns. We want Khune, Parker and Mathoho. Three points for Sundowns Does Khune score goals for the team? If a team is so dependent on a bloody goalie then means the 10 infield players are useless, my opinion & I stand to be corrected. Chiefs in my opinion should have sold him 3-4yrs ago when his value was at its highest. Instead the team is focking out so much on the player salary who's injury prone, out of form obviously & reached his peak. Smart teams cash out on a high profile players whom they developed.
