A former Kaizer Chiefs player has challenged the club’s head coach Stuart Baxter and his technical team to consider giving Itumeleng Khune a chance in the team in the second round of the season.Mzansi’s former number one goalkeeper was in action for the Warriors FC in the Compact Cup at the weekend, as selected by the fans as per the rules of the competition.
Former Chiefs midfielder Ntokozo Sikhakhane is convinced that the 34-year-old deserves better than feauturing in zero league appearances at this stage of the season after 16 matches played by the Soweto giants. After being criticized for his performances before he was dropped, Khune has showed improvement and hunger for action when he turned out for the select side in Durban.
Khune was last in action in August during the quarter-final match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Masterpieces Stadium.“For a player who hasn’t played in a long time, Khune played very well and he was impressive. Even though I don’t know much what the situation is between him and Baxter, Khune has showed with his performance that he is still one of the best. His confidence was there and with his performance he showed that he can still contribute at Chiefs,” said Sikhakhane.
Khune, Captain My Captain Unfortunately Akpeyi doing Very Well in the Goal Post
So akpei who's doing well at this moment must he be sidelined?
Kodwa usakwazi ukuvimba umfokaKhune?
Akpey is doing bt Khune is de best without doubt
Seconded. Give IIKHUNE_32_16 a chance
Akpei has been brilliant why change him?
Chiefs in my opinion should have sold him 3-4yrs ago when his value was at its highest. Instead the team is focking out so much on the player salary who's injury prone, out of form obviously & reached his peak. Smart teams cash out on a high profile players whom they developed.
Does Khune score goals for the team? If a team is so dependent on a bloody goalie then means the 10 infield players are useless, my opinion & I stand to be corrected.
That will good. I want IIKHUNE_32_16 on the second leg against Sundowns. We want Khune, Parker and Mathoho. Three points for Sundowns
