Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and Lacey Police Department launched a police pursuit of a shooting suspect sometime Sunday afternoon. TCSO said the suspect vehicle was driving on southbound I-5 at a high speed while weaving back and forth between lanes of traffic. After taking exit 88, the suspect got back onto the southbound and turned around as they drove back onto I-5.The suspect vehicle was hit by another vehicle and then the suspect was taken into custody.
The people in the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and one was taken to a local hospital from the scene.
