Two passengers in a disabled Honda were killed when a pickup truck slammed into to the car on Interstate 15 near Miramar early Saturday morning, and both drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The crash happened just before 2:45 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Miramar Way, California Highway Patrol Officer Salvador Castro said.
The crash left the Honda disabled in the traffic lanes, then it was struck by a Chevrolet Colorado, a midsize pickup truck. Two passengers in the Honda died. Castro did not provide any information about the two victims, such as ages or where they resided, and their names were withheld until family members could be notified of their death.
