The pair of geese that went missing from the park over the weekend were found as of Monday, officials say.ALLEN, Texas — The tale of missing geese from Bethany Lakes Park that recently ruffled feathers in Allen has a happy ending.
The pair of geese were reported missing from the park in the 700 block of S. Allen Heights Drive this past weekend and the Allen Police Department, and Allen Animal Services found them as of Monday evening, officials said. “The geese are unharmed and will spend the night at City of Allen Animal Shelter before being released together Tuesday morning,” the Allen Parks and Recreation Department shared on social media Monday. “These geese are a domestic breed and are not subject to the same federal protections as migratory birds. The individual who took them was quickly located, cooperated fully with police and will not face criminal charges.
