This march – dubbed"Get Your Knee Off Our Necks" — comes at a particularly tense time as frustration over police brutality and use of force have sparked national outrage following the Memorial Day killing ofA common theme throughout the march was a call to action for attendees to register and to vote in the fall elections.
Several of the speakers led the crowds in chants of"No Justice! No Peace!" And repeated the refrain that"Black Lives Matter." At one point some in the crowd could be overheard saying"hands up, don't shoot.""Yes, it is possible to legislate justice and accountability, people over profits, joy over trauma, freedom over fear. Yes, it is possible to write budgets that actually value black lives," she said.
Gun control activist and 2018 Parkland, Fla., high school shooting survivor Aalayah Eastmond said gun violence is a scourge on black communities. "Police violence is gun violence," Eastmond said."And gun violence is the leading cause of death for Black youth. We demand to live in peace. Are we not considered to be equal when we earn the right to be equal? Isn’t equality about fairness? You step up, work hard and you become equal. You don’t sit around, hang out and take what you can get for free and expect to be treated equally. Stop blaming anyone and everyone.

60% of the nation wanted blacks to have the right to vote. this PEACEFUL march coincided with that support and brought about change that was years in the making. Rioting and looting and burning has never rendered change that is meaningful and that is why support is failing.
We need a march that says “Common Sense Wins”. That’s what we need to be preaching and teaching our youth. When you use common sense you don’t have issues with police. When you don’t use common sense, then you do. We don’t have a racism problem we have a common sense problem.
Perhaps, stop doing crimes would help improving the criminal justice system, leftists. Anyone who commits crime should get arrested, regardless of race - that's racial equality in criminal justice system.
I sincerely hope that the March is peaceful and inspires people to vote for change. New laws from the government and new elected officials who will enact new laws.
