Porsche has completed development testing of a new 911 Hybrid coupe, and it's now ready for series production starting this summer. Porsche has already confirmed that a hybrid 911 sports car is inevitable, and now we know we'll be seeing it this summer—by the end of the month, in fact. The company now says it's accomplished 3.1 million miles of development driving and has finished its rigorous testing in Dubai, with the car now ready for production.
Porsche now says in its announcement that company brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister completed a lap of the circuit in 7:16.934 minutes, which is said to be a whopping 8.7 seconds faster than its current-gen equivalent non-hybrid 911 trim—whichever trim it equates to.
