Texas Rangers’ lineup is ‘pretty well set’ as team plays dress rehearsal games vs. Red Sox

For comparison’s sake, how close to the season-opening batting order was the Rangers’ lineup in their second-to-last spring exhibitionspring? Nearly identical. Texas started eight of nine players at the same position and in the same spot in the batting order in a warmup game vs. the Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Field as they did on opening day vs. the Philadelphia Phillies four days later. The lone difference was marginal; Match Garver caught and hit sixth vs.

It’s a good problem to have. Same can be said for organizing the rest of the lineup that, when healthy, fields five 2023 All-Stars, a 2022 Silver Slugger and two Rookie of the Year favorites.
