In the working group of Professor Dr. Beate Koksch at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin has an open position available for temporary postdoc starting May 1st, 2024. The focus of our research group is peptide and protein engineering. Our group cooperates with several research groups from the Institutes of chemistry and biochemistry, pharmacy, physics and mathematics at the FU Berlin and from other institutions in the Berlin-Potsdam area.

The research project comprises the characterization and elucidation of adaptation mechanisms of laboratory-evolved bacteria using multi-omics studies. These include 1) functional genomics with a focus on analyzing dynamic aspects of the genome, i.
