As of Saturday, the Ohio Department of Health said 2,496,243 coronavirus cases have been reported since the start of the pandemic

The 24-hour increase of 15,677 reported cases is a cumulative of all positive test results as a lagging indicator the Ohio Department of Health received on Saturday; not a total number of new infections reported in a single day.

An additional 548,582 total cases are presumed to be linked to COVID-19 under the CDC expanded definitions and included in the Ohio Department of Health’s reporting. Out of the 104,685 total hospitalizations reported on Saturday, at least 12,485 individuals were admitted to intensive care units.

Domestic violence cases on the rise in Ohio, experts believe state’s gun laws to blameBetween July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, at least 131 people died in domestic violence incidents in Ohio. There were 85 victims and 46 were perpetrators and in most of those fatalities, 86%, guns were used. common sense gun laws are needed but republicans always stand in the way of any type of reform No data on the number of those incidents where the gun was already illegally in possession of the suspect. No mention that the timeframe is the heart of the COVID pandemic where kids weren’t going to school and alot of people were working remotely so no outlet to get help. Already many “common sense “ gun laws in place that do not get enforced. Most law abiding gun owners would love to see the laws enforced on criminals. Too much worry about the rights of people who have proven they can’t exist in a peaceful society.
