CLEVELAND, Ohio - 19 Investigates uncovered a troubling trend in Ohio, more people are dying from domestic violence.

“So, unfortunately, and tragically, too many people who have lost their lives as a result of domestic violence and how often that’s been connected to use of firearms,” said Webber. “We want to ensure that we actually allow for relinquishment, and surrender or seizure, if necessary, to ensure that those firearms are separated from someone who’s about to be violent,” Webber said.

Each year, the Gifford’s Law Center publishes a gun law scorecard, grading each state by the strength of its gun laws and the number of gun deaths that occurred there. In its most recent annual report, the center gave Ohio a “D” grade, with the state ranking 22 of 50 states for gun deaths. As for gun law strength, Ohio ranks 25th.

Also love how they need to try to boost numbers by including the scumbags who killed their loved ones. Are we supposed to feel bad that 46 nobodies are no longer here?

Already many “common sense “ gun laws in place that do not get enforced. Most law abiding gun owners would love to see the laws enforced on criminals. Too much worry about the rights of people who have proven they can’t exist in a peaceful society.

No data on the number of those incidents where the gun was already illegally in possession of the suspect. No mention that the timeframe is the heart of the COVID pandemic where kids weren’t going to school and alot of people were working remotely so no outlet to get help.

common sense gun laws are needed but republicans always stand in the way of any type of reform
