The White House on Wednesday issued a long-delayed response to House Democrats' sweeping investigation into abuses of power by President Donald Trump, characterizing the probe as a politically-motivated “do-over” of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and suggesting Trump might assert executive privilege to shield internal documents.

Nadler was referring to the president’s remark, in late April, that he planned to fight “all the subpoenas” issued by House Democrats, including the one sent to his former White House Counsel, Don McGahn. In a conference call with reporters Wednesday afternoon, a senior White House official blasted Nadler for pursuing “nothing short of presidential harassment.”Sign Up
And to Mitch blocking those votes. I have every right to know there was a vote on them if I benefit by them. He is blocking my right and that pisses me off big time. I as a citizen want him ARRESTED and Fired from the job of lawmaker due to him not doing his job. He has no right.
Nadler is doing the job he is suppose to. Harassing is what Trump did for a very long time to the Best President ever, Obama about where he was born. And there has been a bunch of legislation sitting and collecting dust due to Mitch being the Scum in Washington that blocks votes.
The White House should know everything about harrassment since their clown practices it everyday with his tweets on opponents and his advances on women. Talk about calling the kettle black. Hypocrites.
1. It's not harassment, it's investigation. 2. WH doesn't get to classify pick & choose Congressional requests for documents, it must comply. 1 + 2 = 3. Obstruction. Investigation. Impeachment.
Nadler's investigations are intended to inform a decision on impeachment, a clear congressional responsibility.
Trump the mad king 🤴🏼 Game of Thrones . Now he want to go Iran 🇮🇷 burn the country up with America 🛳 🐉
If he believes that, then he needs to acknowledge that all of Trumps actions are politically motivated.
Would investigations always be harassment, after investigating HRC and finding no charges, that would have been harassment then, yet, no precedent was set there, as there would be none here.
White House Counsel Pat Cipollone is absolutely correct. He should fight this abuse of power by the Democrat House all the way to the Supreme Court. The legislative Branch is a co equal branch, but Nasty Nancy only controls half of that branch.
TRUMP RALLIES LITERALLY CHANT LOCK HER UP. FCK CIPOLLONE.
do over? How about reading the original, unredacted first one...the one the White House is afraid to share? That one....
How convenient, appoints an AG who's main job is to try to clear him from any wrongdoing and gaslight the facts from the Mueller Report, then when the public wants to find the truth, promptly claims 'it's over, guys!'. We won't fall for this, Don the Con. TimeToImpeach
It's about time they fight back.
He's right!
Donny should not have been a criminal. The GOP blocked everything Obama tried to accomplish after 2010. They would have investigated him like HRC, but there was nothing. Donny is a liar, cheat, n crook and we all know it. So many things to investigate.
If that upset him wait until he sees the investigation into Hillary Clinton!
The courts will decide this and the judge hearing one of the cases has expressed skepticism of the White House argument.
Oversight does NOT NEED any legislative purpose, that is not how it works. I hate these people.
If investigating a political opponent is harrassment because it's a political opponent, then your can only investigate someone or something that you agree with.
Here is the thing - basically Trump's argument is that Congress has no oversight power or power to impeach. Basically that is the argument here. Congress cannot request info and any attempt is considered to be under the purview of law enforcement.
Atrocious headline for criminals obstructing justice
Jerry Nadler isn't running for President, so that can't possibly be true.
