Montgomery Whitewater will welcome athletes from across the world to compete in canoeing and kayaking Olympic team trials.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - In April, Athletes say the courses are intricate and difficult, which will best prepare them for Paris if they make it.

“It’s really nice water and I really enjoy it here,” said 2020 Olympian Zach Lokken. “It was so nice meeting everyone behind this facility.” Open just for a year now, those with Montgomery Whitewater, along with city and county officials, see how the park is impacting the area economically. “The Montgomery County Whitewater Park continues to bring new visitors to our community and assist us in recruiting high-paying jobs,” said District 2 County Commissioner Carmen Moore-Zeigler.
