is a distinguished board-certified psychiatrist in New York City, who has been in practice for over 25 years. She specializes in the medication management of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, trauma, pregnancy-related conditions, and patients dealing with complex medical conditions. As a proponent of personalized medicine, Dr.
Dr. Plutchik has volunteered extensively over the years and has been at the forefront of psychiatric support following major crises, including the TWA Flight 800 crash and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, she co-founded the program Caring For Caregivers NYC, which provided pro bono mental health services to NYC physicians battling COVID-19 on the front lines.
Dr. Plutchik holds degrees from Barnard College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center.
