RINGWOOD, N.J. -- A New Jersey hiker who was missing for more than 24 hours was found safely in Rockland County, New York on Monday. New Jersey State Park Police said the woman started hiking in Ringwood State Park on Sunday before authorities found her a day later miles away in Sloatsburg, New York. Police identified the woman as 63-year-old Carol Heimbach of Wayne, New Jersey. They said she regularly hikes at Ringwood State Park.
Monday, someone spotted Heimbach on their Ring camera 'It is important to thank the community with this, because had they not had the wherewithal and paid attention to the Facebook page, took a look. How many of us get Ring cameras that we buzz, we just kind of take a glance at it? 'OK that's fine, it's the mailman.
