Letters to the Editor — Bland Middle School eighth graders thank their teachers

Good teachers make a difference. This one at Hyde Park Elementary in Niagara Falls, NY, shares books with his students. Students at Bland MS in Texas share who are their favorite teachers.Editor’s note: Bland Middle School eighth graders wrote letters to the editor to recognize their teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.I’m leaving the school I’ve been in for my entire life and it just so happens that this week is Teacher Appreciation Week.

I had multiple teachers I was close with, but the ones I want to mention the most are my third grade teacher Mrs. Pendergrass, my fifth grade teacher Mrs. Flowers, my math teacher Coach Godwin, and finally my eighth grade math teacher, Mr. Goen .I will never forget the impacts they have had on my life. I have learned so much and they don’t even know how much they have helped. They made learning fun and understandable.

I am going to miss seeing Mrs. Flowers and Mrs. Womack but I will never forget them and all they did to help me grow as a student.I would like to thank my fifth grade math teacher, Mrs. Flowers, because she really helped me and understood me when I was going through family problems. It got to the point where I almost saw her as part of my family. So this is the reason I thank her for being part of my life.I want to recognize my art teacher, Mrs. Crossley.
