On behalf of 1 million-plus mixed-status families, we ask for support and the help in getting word out that just because we are married does not mean our partner gets citizenship. My husband pays his taxes through an individual taxpayer identification number, and we filed at the end of the year together. We are a normal family and just want to live in peace.
